Michael Avenatti, once one of the highest-profile attorneys in the United States, is now serving three consecutive prison sentences.
Avenatti pleaded guilty earlier this year to four counts of wire fraud and was sentenced Monday by federal district Judge James Selna.

US District Court Judge Jesse M. Furman called Avenatti's behavior "craven and egregious," blaming it on "blind ambition," the AP reported.
Avenatti was accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the adult film actress Stormy Daniels while representing her.
"That's what you told me to say," Stormy Daniels responded when Avenatti asked about how she praised him as her lawyer.
Avenatti is accused of stealing $300,000 from Daniels, and he will cross-examine her when she testifies against him this week.
Prosecutors claim Avenatti stole part of Daniels' book advance by forging her signature on a letter to the book publisher.
Avenatti previously told Politico that he had access to books by David Sedaris, Martin Luther King Jr., and Tim Tebow.
