Several New York City principals were named in the latest of a slew of sex scandals.
The scandals were uncovered by schools investigator Richard Cordon, who sent us the salacious report. His office received a record number of complaints in 2011 and is still going strong in 2012.
Nicholas Bologna, former principal of PS 206 in Queens, was nailed for involvement with his assistant principal Diana Simon.
Cordon's office was alerted by a note signed "concerned parents" that said the two were involved.
Investigators soon found the two were emailing sexual messages.
According to the report, Bologna and Simon were caught in his office with the lights off. When a staffer came in and turned off the lights, Bologna jumped up. He claimed that Simon's light sensitivity was the reason for the ambiance in the room.
Bologna's wife came to the school and was overheard saying "I'm going to blow the roof off this thing!"
Bologna was demoted to assistant principal, while Simon went to work for a different school.
In another case, Kevin O'Neill, an assistant principal at PS 396 in Morris Heights was caught on camera leaving a hotel at the same time as one of his teachers, Samantha Rothman Berman.
Both married school employees initially denied the affair or ever going to the Howard Johnson hotel in the Bronx but were nailed by video evidence. The two used fake names and paid in cash when they visited.
O'Neill was responsible for Berman's teacher evaluation on two occasions, according to the report. He was demoted to teacher at another school.
And another assistant principal, Giuliano Quesada, of now-closed MS399, struck up a romance with one of his teachers and got her pregnant. He was demoted as well.
