And, unlike many online brokerages, Firstrade doesn't charge fees for options contracts (most brokerages charge $0.65).
Individual brokerage accounts through Firstrade may be eligible to trade on margin. Loan rates range from 9.75% (for loans of $1,000,000 or more) to 13.75% (for loans under $25,000). You must need at least $2,000 in your account to access margin trading.
For premium trade ideas, Firstrade provides clients with research from top financial service firms like Morningstar, Briefing.com, and Zacks & Benzinga. Or you can access advanced research and analysis with the platform's new AI tool, FirstradeGPT.
Users also get access to the online brokerage's securities lending income program, which offers short-selling strategies and lending opportunities. To sign up, you must have a net worth or annual income of at least $20,000.
Firstrade Retirement Accounts
