The Duke of Sussex and King Charles III have had a fractured relationship ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Prince Harry said his father stopped taking his calls amid conversations about his royal exit and that he was financially cut off from the royal family after resigning in the spring of 2020.
But their relationship appears to have somewhat improved recently. Harry and Charles have made several public appearances together, including at the funerals of Prince Philip in April 2021 and Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, and at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.
And after ascending the throne on September 8, King Charles mentioned his "love for Harry and Meghan" in his first speech as monarch.
Speaking to ITV's Tom Bradby in January 2023 to promote his memoir, Harry said he wanted his father back in his life.
"I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back," Harry said.
The current status of Harry and Charles' relationship is not known. However, it's worth noting that Harry attended the king's coronation ceremony on Saturday, May 6. Harry appeared to be in good spirits as he spoke with members of the royal family. He didn't have a formal role at the ceremony and therefore did not interact with Charles or Prince William at the event.

However, the family's home life wasn't always a happy one. Charles and Diana's marriage went "down the drain" after Harry was born, Diana once said in audio recordings about her life.
