After months of claiming that large-scale mail-in voting is susceptible to fraud, President Donald Trump explicitly encouraged Florida voters to cast their ballots by mail this November in a tweet on Tuesday.
Trump, who has previously falsely claimed that high levels of mail voting would not be "anything less than substantially fraudulent" and suggested the election should be delayed until in-person voting is fully safe, tweeted on Tuesday that Florida's voting system is "safe and secure, tried and true."
"I encourage all to request a ballot and vote by mail," he wrote.
