It's back, but not for long: Get 20% off the Ninja Creami before Prime Day ends

The Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker with a Prime Day Deals tag.
The social media sensation Ninja Creami is on sale for Prime Day. Ninja Creami; Business Insider

We're in the second half of Amazon Prime Day, which means you only have hours left to get the Ninja Creami for 20% off. Over the summer, our Instagram and TikTok feeds were full of Ninja Creami creations, from protein powder milkshakes to fresh lemon sorbet. Stock is limited and we saw this product sell out during July's Prime Day, so now's the time to buy.

For the rest of the top-rated deals, check out our Prime Day hub to save on kitchen tools, home goods, and more. Plus, you can find more of our favorite savory and sweet Prime Day kitchen deals.

Why buy the Ninja Creami

The Ninja Creami stands out for its versatility (seven settings) and the relatively compact size (just over a foot at its largest point). The process is highly customizable, so you can explore the world of frozen desserts, from thick Fruity Pebbles milkshakes to vegan almond milk ice cream.

It's not quite as easy as pulling a pint out of the fridge: You do have to freeze the base and liquid mixture for 24 hours before you use it. Still, the only home ice cream makers that are close to automatic are compressor machines, like the Cuisinart ICE. These are bulky and expensive, so many will prefer a sleek, automatic Ninja Creami-style model.

Once the base is frozen solid, you simply reattach to the main machine and press a button. The "creamifying" involves the center blade shaving off pieces of the frozen mixture and whipping them together. It takes about two minutes, and there is a "re-spin" setting for when the texture isn't quite right the first time.

The Ninja Creami Deluxe is also on sale for $220 at Amazon, but that's $20 more than the summer discount. If you're eyeing the frozen yogurt and Slushi settings on the Deluxe, we recommend waiting until Black Friday to see if you get a better deal.

More ice cream deals

Another dessert gadget is on sale for Prime Day: the Dash My Mug Ice Cream maker. It's 25% off right now, but even the regular price is a fraction of what the Creami costs.

As the name suggests, the My Mug is a personal, single-serving ice cream maker. Unlike the Ninja, you don't have to prep your mixture in advance. You just need to freeze the base, which you can easily do by just storing it in your freezer until an ice cream craving hits. When you add a mixture, the Dash My Mug takes 20 minutes to produce a frozen treat.
